BRIDE GUIDE
What to expect from our team on your wedding day. A photographer’s guide to help you prepare for your special day. If you are undecided about what you want us to capture on your wedding day, check out the info below to see what we offer.
Let’s break down a full day wedding photography wise.
Pre-Ceremony aka “Getting Ready Photos”
We love capturing pre-ceremony photos of the bridal party hanging out in matching pajamas, sipping on champagne, and enjoying the moment before the big event. We also love capturing the groom and groomsmen doing whatever random thing comes to their minds.
As everyone finishes getting ready, we catch the small moments too: parents zipping up the dress, adjusting ties, and sharing a hug before the day begins.
Then it's on to portraits: the bridal party, the group shots, and finally, the first look.
What we capture:
Bride and bridesmaids in their matching robes or pajamas. (If doing matching sets)
The finishing touches of the bride’s hair and makeup.
Mom or guardian zipping up the bride’s dress.
Bridal portraits and group photos.
Father or guardian adjusting the groom’s outfit.
Groom and groomsmen portraits and group photos.
Detail shots of the room, building, and area.
Detail shots of the rings, perfume, and ceremonial objects.
First Looks.
Important Note:
We personally do not believe that a photographer, male or female, should be in the dressing room taking photos while the party and possibly children are getting ready. (Bride & Groom) However, if you want these photos, we will be mindful of what we capture, and a female photographer will be assigned to the Bride and a male photographer assigned to the Groom
We recommend that after everyone is ready, the photographer enters to take the Final Touches on hair and makeup when everyone is dressed.
The Ceremony
We will capture everything that is expected during the ceremony. From start to finish, we will document your special day from multiple angles.
What we capture:
Setup - arch, chairs, decorations, signage, etc.
Photos of the guests interacting with each other.
Walkdowns.
Vows.
Ring exchange.
Sand pouring, feet washing, or other.
First Kiss.
Walkout.
Family photos.
Bridal party photos.
Bride and Groom Portraits.
The Reception
Cut loose and have fun! We will capture everything from first dances and cake cutting to busting moves on the dance floor.
What we capture:
Bride and Groom entrance.
First Dance with each other and parents/guardians.
Food setup and tables.
Toasts.
Cake Cutting.
One hour of dancing.
Grand Exit.
Important Notes:
Creating a Fake Exit: We recommend creating a fake exit and not waiting until the end of the night. The reason is that guests do leave early, the lighting is not the best, and everyone is more active in the moment. Once the fake exit is finished, everyone can go back to the dance floor.
Dancing: Once the first dances, toast, and cake cutting are over. We will cover one full hour of everyone dancing. Dancing photos start to feel redundant over a long period of time; one hour is usually all you need to remember the moment.
What to know after the wedding.
Photo delivery usually takes 4 weeks, and every photo is edited. All photos will be delivered through an online gallery where you can download the photos and print directly from the gallery. The gallery is connected to a high-quality print lab that ships to your front door.
We hope this guide helped you to see what goes into documenting your wedding day and clear some uncertainty. We are looking forward to capturing and being a part of your day! If you have any questions, give us a call or text anytime!
